Privacy

A plain statement of what this site collects, which is nothing beyond what any web host records, and what happens when you use the contact form.

Updated 10 October 2026By the editors

This site is a set of plain pages. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and it sets no cookies. The editors do not collect personal information about visitors. The details below explain the few places where data can move.

Hosting and server logs

The pages are served by a web hosting provider. Like any host, it may keep ordinary technical server logs, such as the address of the request and the time, for security and reliability. The editors do not use those logs to identify visitors, and the site does not read them for tracking.

Fonts

The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's font servers when a page opens. Google describes its own handling of those requests in its privacy information. If you prefer to avoid this, your browser will fall back to the fonts already on your device and the pages remain readable.

The Find a page panel

The Find a page button opens a list of the site's pages that you can filter by typing. It runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent anywhere and is not stored.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not send anything to this site. It opens your own email program with the message filled in, and what you send is then handled by your email provider and the recipient's. Please do not include personal health details. Messages are used only to correct or improve pages.

Pages cite public sources such as health services, agencies and universities. When you follow one, you leave this site, and that site's own privacy rules apply. You can read how pages are sourced in the editorial standards, or return to the overview of types of medical imaging.
