MEMBERSHIP
Becoming a member
of The Kentucky Society of Radiologic Technologists is a good way to
support your profession as we all work together through changing healthcare
issues.
KSRT members can also earn CEUs at discounted rates through programs
and seminars offered through the KSRT.
Membership categories
Active members are those who are or have been actively employed in the profession, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or its equivalent or hold an unrestricted license under state statutes and are voting members of the ASRT. They shall have all rights, privileges and obligations of membership including the right to vote, debate, hold office and serve as a delegate in the House of Delegates.
Associate members are those who are or have been employed in the technical, educational, managerial or corporate aspects of the radiologic sciences and do not qualify for active membership. Associate members shall have all the privileges and obligations of active membership except the right to hold office.
Student members shall be those individuals who are enrolled in primary radiologic science programs accredited by a Joint Review Committee or regional accrediting agency; or a registered technologist enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate program. Student members are not eligible to receive continuing education credit. Student members shall have all the privileges and obligations of membership except the right to hold office.
Life members shall be those active members who have rendered unusual service to the Society. Such members shall be elected at an Annual Meeting by a majority vote upon unanimous recommendation by the Board of Directors. They shall be exempt from paying dues and shall have all the privileges and obligations of active membership.
Honorary members shall be those individuals whom the Society wishes to honor because of the contributions they have made to the profession. Such members shall be elected at an Annual Meeting by a majority vote upon the unanimous recommendation of the Board of Directors. They shall be exempt from paying dues and shall have all the privileges and obligations of active membership except the right to vote and to hold office.
Supporting members shall be those individuals who are interested in promoting the purposes and functions of the Society, but who are not eligible for active or associate membership. They shall have all the privileges and obligations of active membership except the right to vote and to hold office.
Fees
for Membership
The membership year
begins on February 1 and ends January 31; the annual membership fee
is $20.
